🏁 Review Conclusion After Trading With AvaTrade
AvaTrade is one of the world’s leading CFD brokers, with 150,000 trading accounts from over 150 countries. It is regulated by ASIC (Australia) and CBI (Ireland). You need just $100 to open an account, and you can fund it using many different methods. AvaTrade also offers the Ava Mirror Trader and a mobile trading app. Their chat and email support are good.
I traded with AvaTrade in 2013 using their MT4 platform. Before opening a real account, I tested their other platform, AvaTrader. AvaTrader offers a wide range of assets (Forex and CFDs), but it was too simple, so I opened a real account on MT4 instead.
The Ava MT4 platform is easy to install and has all the classic MT4 features, plus one-click trading. Their asset index includes many currency pairs and gold trading. Execution speed was good, and Ava MT4 slippage was better than other market makers I’ve used. The main drawback was the spread size, especially on minor currency pairs; when trading 1 standard lot, spreads could rise sharply. Deposits of $1,000 or more get better trading conditions.
- AvaTrade uses dealing-desk order execution and has high trading spreads.
- Overall, AvaTrade is a reliable broker suited mainly for position traders. It is rather expensive for day traders and scalpers.
